Nadine Hitchiner
When this February shall find me
it'll be halfway through.
Monologue for monologue, I'd been practising how to love.
Now, I walk through the young year, without noticing its peers—
without knowing who the days belong to.
When February finds me, it is already halfway through—
I’d remember our first kiss—how when he held me,
he was listening in.
