Donald Pasmore
Drinking the Kool-Aid You Live Inside
a red altar idols burning
late night letters poems of children
dashed on the concrete
so I hear the wet thwack
now skin to skin is cold
stone to place a gold portrait
that takes my ability to poetize
myself into other beds’ men
this image of you is altered as I kneel
sunlight shines on my face within
